Thank you everybody,
the job is actually very easy, you just need to buy the necessary nuts and bolts.
As for the third support, I think I will use a flat aluminum strip so I can bend it as I like... distance between the two attachment points is short so it should be strong enough to just keep the headlight in place, even if it's flexible.
I'll let you know.
Have a nice week-end!

Did you remove the black metal frame that currently held the original headlight ?
Where do you plan to attach the third point, to the existing point (below the square headlight) on the fork support where the black metal frame was attached ?
Thanks for your support.

sinophilia

Yes to both questions, Francky.
Anyway, today I rode for about an hour across the city, with peak speeds of 80 km/h, and neither headlight nor windshield moved a bit.
Only thing I noticed, is that the headlight glass was steaming hot when I finally stopped... was the old one too? I didn't notice...

Well, for a few kms I found myself together with a group of "gros cubes" (Monster, Hornet, CBF600) and I swear, little TW didn't look out of place! ;-)

Diana,

Yes glass of the headlight, on the original model, is also very hot, nothing worrying.  :-)

sinophilia

ok, thank you! :-)

One more test yesterday: riding in two.
As you know, the light beam rises a lot with two persons... the old headlight wasn't very bright so this didn't disturb anybody, but this one is really dazzling! So I decided to lean it down a little, even more than needed.

The page about replacing the headlight will be at the following URL,
in case Olox wants to link or translate/summarize it in his site:

Grazie mille Diana for your explanation !
It's a while we were waiting for such article !

I just put a link on the site. I'll translate it later.
By the way your website is really classy.

Ciao

Thank you Olox!
Actually I started building that website for myself, to put my TW pictures in order, and to learn how to use Dreamweaver (I had never used a composer before). But I had free space at my webhost so in the end I published it... ;-)
